I was once made redundant in a public sector job, the whole process took so long I just stopped coming in towards the end. Nobody really seemed to notice.

I always used to say that if I had won the lottery I would work my notice and those 4 weeks would be amazing knowing I am stinking rich and it would give you some time to calm down a bit.
But on 2nd thoughts I think I'd last about 23 minutes.
