View Full Version : What an exciting deadline day for Gooners! We've lost Debuchy. Most of the hard work has been in

trying to shift Gnabry and Sanogoals and we've fended off a cheeky attempt to take Ox on loan and a potential transfer request from Gibbs! Happy days! Way to go when you're trying to win the league.

Also, who has moved this window that you think would amount to a genuine loss for us?

Too late for a cheeky bid for Tino Asprilla?

Claudio's going for it..

Wilshere and Rosicky re going to spend an extra six weeks or more out. By his lgic he surely needs one player at least?

Debuchy hasn't been playing and was out injured but form is temporary. He is a very good player when fit and gives us options on the right of defence, midfield and even at centre-half.

over half the games to play compared to all their rivals. They don't need a large squad: we do.

murdered down our right by any f**kers with a speed merchant. Unless you think Per can fill in there?

And the c**t has less of a left foot than 50pc of pirates.

Iwobi and Jeff are decent talents by anyone's reckoning.

We're cool, be cool.

Arteta, Rosicky and Flamini ahead of him and Iwobi - an antediluvian midfield.

They've signed most of these players for buttons.

We've got Coq, Ramsey, Chambers and Elneny too.

Hardly Dad's Army when you put it into perspective a bit.

Liverpool paid more for Heskey the same summer Henry joined us and you could have got maybe a Tim Sherwood for the price Arsene paid for Petit and Vieira combined.

Hardly blowing your opposition out of the water with your superior war chest.

Maybe Wenger's was scouting, knowledge of unknown promising players or whatever. Anyway, it certainly wasn't cold, hard, dirty cash.

And as we know, money winds people up more than anything else on earth. Especially other peoples'. And even more especially when they use it to their own good and wave it in your face and say "f**k you!"

He cares nothing for Arsenal. Would prefer three games in france 2016 than to win the league with us, and has forced his way out of the club. Maybe we might have got another body in on loan to replace him, but it looks like Chambaldo will have to do as cover.

Made no difference to us either way, in terms of value; I suppose Milan weren't too bothered at the time either.

Hardly "buying" titles.

having a good time, making some music to be proud of, getting some critical acclaim, getting knob-gobbled by groupies, watching anything from a couple of hundred people having a brilliant time watching you play, or putting up with some right divas in the cause of making a half-decent record.

Requiring mass adoration and financial lucre on a vast scale is probably an unwise bar to set.

Decent piece here, I thought:

Albeit without the thrill of standing onstage at Glastonbury with 300 people singing along to a song you wrote in your bedroom.

Just don't do it for too long that there isn't time to sort out some kind of regular income from a proper job, that's all.
