So, for instance, if I see a book with dragons and half-naked chicks on the cover, I'm unlikely to buy it. It might be the new Anna Karenina, but my initial judgment has been skewed by what the publishers have chosen to put on the cover and it is upon that basis that I have to make my judgement of whether to buy it.

Equally, that woman could be a charming, erudite and utterly entrancing person, but unfortunately, she has chosen the look of a clap-riddled off-duty hooker, so she forces me to make my judgement on the basis of the information she gives me.
