I'm not advocating adding to our collection of chelsea cast offs, alright I might be a little bit, but he's really too decent a player to be shifted off to china at the age of 28, never to be seen again.

Why are no other clubs even considering this? I wouldve thought at least tottenham, united and liverpool could do with that quality of player in their squards. That's even before we look further down the newly monied premier league.

Although I must admit that every cricket season now just makes me wonder how many more I have left. I'm not going to be one of these old f**kers who carries on playing in the stiffs until he drops. The question will arise of when the thing is becoming undignified imo :-(
