Sometimes the simple pleasures are the best, aren't they?

Now. Chips or mash?

Will the kebab man not wonder what's happened to you? :-(

They just keep bringing you food until you tell them to stop bringing you food. Do you know of such a place?

boast a menu surprise; in theory, of course, one is eating what chef considered to be the best products available at the marche this morning.

Sadly, one suspects that one will be served whatever is cheapest and easiest for the kitchen to produce.

Odd.

I still think I overtipped him given that he scowled at us throughout our meal.

Sir Charlie of Nicholas
01-20-2016, 04:26 PM
He did not, after all, attempt to behead us with a fruit knife. As a result, I thought him extraordinarily restrained; after all, LOOK WHAT WE'VE DONE TO IRAQ!

Also some duck. Not the nonsense with the pancakes, just roast duck.

Chicken balls are imperative, though. Although I do like that crispy lamb in lettuce leaves as well.

Oh, ffs! We're going to have to start again now!

Sir Charlie of Nicholas

I'm still working my way through it :hehe:

Did you not, after all, grow up in Croydon?

I once had a similarly impoverished palette when it came to Chinese, but have since learned there is more to be enjoyed than rib and gloop.

Indeed, one of the best Chinese meals I've ever had - at HKK near Liverpool Street - was also one of the most delicate and refined.

The duck is non-negotiable.

restaurants. I have eaten at Hakkasan, Yauatcha, A Wong, at Ken Lo's, at China Tang.

Berni is absolutely correct in this regard.

I imagine.

When are Leicester going to f**k off, do you think? They’re beginning to annoy me.

I’m almost more offended by their presence at the top than that of Spurs.

Mind you, the chilli chicken was good.

We have not managed to play an actual game since the first weekend of December.

It is no wonder Irish football is generally in a mess.

There's a lot to be said for westernised versions of certain foods imo.

I have been waiting for weeks for the inevitable decline. Now I do still think it will happen and a simple two club shoot-out will prevail. Beyond that I am unsure.

They roast up a duck for you and serve it many different ways. The things they do to that duck don't bear thinking about.

It's pretty darned good.

Mind you, that was still preferable to when he used to join in the scrums. :-(
