Flatters to deceive. Another of the Lennon, Townsend, Defoe mould.
A bit harsh perhaps, we all love his pace. Looks world class one minute and fades the next.
Injury record not great. 3 goals in the league all season, which is pisspoor against the likes of Igahlo or Vardy.
Needs to be in double figures by the end of May. He'll probably stay and see out his contract but is he huge loss ?
Testimonial.. Not on what he's delievered to date. Defoe may have had his critics but at least scored plenty of goals during his prime.

Amazing for such a natural goalscorer (some believe the best of his generation :hehe:), he has never scored 20 league goals in a season (probably won't get there this season at a guess). In fact he has only score more than 13 top-flight league goals once (the same amount of times as Theo funnily enough) and in the 12 seasons which certainly include his peak years, he managed double figures just four times.
