View Full Version : I lost my hat today.

I put it in my pocket (for it was a beanie) as I warmed up on my brisk march into town and at some point it escaped and it became a *** FREE HAT ***

If someone found it in time before it got dirty, then for them it would become a *** FREE HAT ***

As an emergency measure I went to Primark to procure an interim item of headgear for the journey home and found a piece crystallised out of the exploited labour power of some hapless chinese prole for two quid but reduced to one quid. *** NEARLY FREE HAT ***

On the way to Primark I realised I'd left my scarf in the caff and hurried back to rescue it. Originally it was given to after because someone left it in a pub and no-one claimed it. *** FREE SCARF ***

Tricky business, managing all the accessories in the fresher weather.

around Lord's and the Oval due to extreme drunkenness. Although the last one I had I took to my wedding, gave it to Sir C to look after and never saw the f**ker again.

It's my token concession to masculine posturing.

Apart from anything else, I am sick of people using them attempting to blind me through careless use.

What about a good pair of shoes? Would you wear a good pair of found shoes?

he was promising everyone would be “Africa’s biggest soccer magazine”. Despite being an obvious chancer, he managed to procure a meeting with David Dein as a potential backer of the mag. This was the moment I lost faith in the Double D’s judgememt.

Anyway, I did wear his shoes, but I always felt a leeetle bit dirty and wrong for doing so.

So no, I don’t think I would wear a found pair of shoes.

This was after you had disparaged my umbrella, as well.

Looking back on it, it was just the right level of pissed while giving everyone the opportunity to either carry on and get properly messed up if they so desired or bugger off home and still have some of the day left, I think.

Any tips for how to host 60+ in a vaguely nice venue with good food for under 4 grand?

I was actually quite sorry to leave, as I was really starting to enjoy myself (and someone kept giving me large brandies). Mind you, I don't suppose saying 'Do you mind if we stay on a while for a few more, love?' would have gone down all that well, really.

Tricky business, being married imo.

Mind you, I'm guessing your drinks bill will be pitifully small.

We went for dim sum, and then to the Beaufort Bar :-(

Then more wine with dinner, of course.

I seem to remember being really quite hammered by sleepy time.

unencumbered by booze-inhibiting neuroses.

How the f**k did you keep it down to 25-30? We'd be up to that with family alone :-(

Quite a nice scarf, too. I didn't realise its heritage until yesterday. I thought it had been a present. http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/ohwell.gif

I'm seeing the events manager in a minute. He's a North London Red Sea Pedestrian as it happens, so mates rates might apply for you. :stereotype:
