View Full Version : THAT incident finally explained (by an expert from the city of Stoke). As Gerald Posner would say:

Case Closed!

Wenger cynically used that incident to unite his team behind a cause at the expense of our football club and to the detriment of the career of England's best centre half. The man is an opportunistic, cynical **** and I don't believe there is another manager in British football who would have done that.
And that's without even going into the argument about whether it was even a foul or whether a 50:50 turned into a tragedy because Bendtner's tug on Shawcross made him a fraction late.

"I don't believe there is another manager in British football who would have done that" is a particular highlight.

You would never get Mourinho or Ferguson using an incident to brew siege mentality in their troops (not that either are really in English football anymore)

It's a very lively and vibrant discussion on there, with interesting insights such as:

- Whoever's playing should always realise that this game is more important than any other and nothing less than 110% effort will be acceptable on the day.

- My plan would be kick the **** out of them, play Walters and Crouch up front get as many balls as possible into the box.Make it a dog**** of a game wit us winning it with a Shawcross bullit header in the 90 minute. If we were to win only to win 2 games in a season I would want it against this slag of club.

- It is the annual visit of them Gooners and as ever we need to be at full pelt with our tirade from the stands to really stick it up the posh southern softies. So a call to all of you to pool any hate you may have harnessed or ignored over the past few months and let it rain down from the stands come 4:15pm on Sunday.
Stubbed your toe and it ******* hurt? Overcooked the turkey at Christmas and had a **** dinner?
Whatever it may be pile it up and blame Arsenal and their ***** of a manager! Just to help a few articles below to whet the appetite. (links provided of articles where AW calls them a rugby team etc)

I ended up drinking in Camden with a bunch of Stoke fans (I have a mate who is one of them, but fairly educated) and all spoke fondly of Wenger and Arsenal. I think a lot of this drivel is from a small section on that ****house of a website. Of course in the ground it is always going to be a bit feisty but most don't mean it

that vitriol against us. They do join in the Wenger-baiting at their ground when we visit, but they don't really "hate" us. Of course they think we're poofters and all that.

he was very obviously, an extremely limited player

I am rarely wrong on these things

No idea about our Egyptian as I can't say I've seen a lot of him but I do know that Basel are a decent side and very surprised that more of their players haven't been sold
