distressing that we seem to find it so difficult to such a simple thing well in this country.

The sausage must be larger than the bun, the bun must have some integrity, the onions must be crispy and there must be mustard and ketchup. That's it.

How hard is that to do properly?

the cashier reads to the kitchen and they all shout it back.

XL, ... XL
Mushrooms.... Mushrooms

:-( It's so embarrassing in England. In the US you'd accept it as it's sort of normal.

It can't be right that, if I want another glass of wine, I have to go up and queue at a counter, can it?

only to then get up and then order and pay. Then they gave me a stick with a green chicken on it,

They give me a glass for my drink. I see plates I take some plates as I assume I need them.

The bring the food over an it's on plates
