Christmas?

Nobody used to sell panettone or pandoro,

I went to a department store and it was all Italian stuff but over priced. Baci, Amaretto biscuits.

I think this has happened only in the past few years.

apart from that anybody noticed how many Italians are in London these days? There are no young people left in Italy.

A simple thing that even I can run to with the aid of a magimix.
It's a winner with everyone and usually devoured by the following morning.
