View Full Version : It's still better to have beaten Manchester City and lost to Southampton than

With everyone beating everyone this season your argument has less weight, OK perhaps a little.. but not much :-(

but we have had a longstanding issue with games against our rivals, the so called Big Games.

By the way, this has nothing to do with where the title will end up; that wasn't going to be decided this week, in any case.

I say, that lot down the road are looking worryingly consistent, aren't they..

The issue is whether we can get past 80 points for the first time in ten years.

What we are basically seeing is exactly the same as the last two seasons. Same problems, same injuries, similar points, same inconsistency.

So, 74-78 points, between 5 and 10 points short of the champions and finishing between 2nd and 4th depending on how crap the others are.

Makes it all hardly worth bothering with. :-) :-)

In lieu of all that, it's about who and where we are as a football club and team.

Ago.

And where we are is never going to be good enough to win the league.

And anyway, your 74-78 points may very well be good enough this season :-)
