View Full Version : It's a shame they've sacked him. I was enjoying them being ****.

He's well past it, ol' Guus.

psychological impact on the man and his hopes of future happiness.

As you may be able to tell, I am not quite so able to resist the allure of steffenfreude as Sir Charlie http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/ohwell.gif

They have qualified for the next phase of the CL as group winners, their (current) league position being laughable of course.

Herr Klopp’s reputation was not in any way darkened by the woeful position of Dortmund at this stage last season.

Now what that reputation is I am really not sure.

A very successful perhaps brilliant manager who has delivered league success in 4 countries and 2 Champions League successes – or a manager who always appears to ultimately turn success into a rotten, nasty environment.

Any man who can cause Holland to fail to qualify for a tournament is clearly past his prime.

Perhaps he will, at Old Trafford next season.

We are all fallible, la.

They'll finish second to City, tbh.

He's not a manager to build a legacy. He'll win you stuff, but it wont last.

Since Leeds won the old Championship then came 17th in the new Premiership. I have said elsewhere that I cannot recall Howard Wilkinson abusing females, other managers and his players and staff during the said decline.

But they will end up somewhere in the top 10, they are simply too good a group of footballers to continue losing to the clubs they have been.

They might get past PSG though I am less sure of that.

Ultimately their season will be seen as not qualifying for the CL, same as United last season.

When I say best of course I mean only one where he has not been poor of course.

I shall stick to my guns until he has three or four good games on the bounce then I shall reconsider. I shall be more than happy to be proven wrong. The more top class players the better imo and now he has a run in his favoured position I expect to see him shine
