Then again if Wenger had gone up there he'd have won more than Ferguson did imo.

was considered some kind of intellectual (“I have an apprentice who speaks five languages”) and didn't join him for a glass of wine after matches, but other than that, it was a healthy rivalry between the two clubs, imo.

His hegemony over the league was, without Arsene, total - and it was based in part on his ability to bully the media, referees and the authorities. The means he had at his disposal to defeat this challenge naturally included an attempt to bully us.

This battle, of course, culminated on that terrible day at Old Trafford when bullying won. :-(
