View Full Version : Is this squad good enough to win the league, even with the on going injury situation ?

The injuries to Cazorla and Sanchez may not be so critical, if it wasn't for the fact that players like Flamini, Rosicky, Wilshere and Arteta weren't either continually injured or no longer quite good enough to provide that confidence of cover.
The jury also still very much out on Welbz and Campbell being able to cut the mustard at this level.

Whether that is enough to win the league depends on whether United or City or, indeed, both, sort themselves out.

Cazorla is the worst loss because of the time he'll be out and the fact he starts most games BUT there are several players who can do his job to a decent standard provided their fit.

Welbeck could be a crucial player if he doesn't get injured on his return. The goal-scoring load needs to be spread and he is one of the few players (only?) we have who can provide height and aerial abilitiy from midfield.

Then City will concentrate on the C/L

Hardly critical.

As it stands we could very well be top of the league when he comes back and as such his absence irrelevant and almost a bonus.

We're about to take 7 from 15. It's not going to be pretty.

12 point, 13 perhaps.

I see no reason for pessimism.

happened. 5 points and below Spurs by new year.

Sorry, it's Monday and, even though I have a day off, I feel pretty cantankerous.

We are to be torn a new hole, by that lot, sw. Trust me.

Villa has 'draw' written all over it.

Southampton away is a forgone conclusion.

Still not adding up.

De Bruyne looks the real deal whereas Sterling looks a relative waste of money (I know it is but 3 months). I like Bony but any player is going to come up short when judged against the little fella.

Stoke were superb, could / should have been 5-6. It’s a much closer and for that reason better league this season.

May I be among the first to say we are better off not in Europe post Xmas.

I am not happy about that situation.

For the record I think we go through in Greece.

He likes his record of being knocked out in the next game after qualifying from the group. Keeps reeling it out about how consistent we are in being knocked out then.

He may take the Europa cup seriously too :-(

My flight was cancelled on saturday morning.

2 pints and a whiskey in the airport, all ready for me day out in N5. So I had to have a coffee and hope I was not pulled over and done for drink driving.

Actually, at the weekend they showed the Valencia v Barca game and Valencia matched the km for km run.

My mother in law was over for the weekend also.

And then to just put the sugar or whatever on the ******* cake I had sold concert tickets for The Blades in the Olympia when I realised the clash of dates.
