Due to the current climate of 'Terror'

The Japanese are cancelling everything involving European travel. Which obviously effects business.

So everything frozen, promotions, No pay rises, No business trips, the annual conference is cancelled etc,

Our boss has said we should be prepared to make adjustments (in other words no bonus)

So do I
A) f**k them off (we are all working harder than usual, That's why I haven't been on here as much :-) )

B) be loyal to the company through this tough period. (there is nothing to be gained from this as they have short memories.

One is loyal because loyalty is a moral imperative to a gentleman.

I see Fash as the personification of youth and all that is wrong therein.

No bonus so he thinks of leaving. I have not had a bonus in about 6-7 years, it’s just how it is, **** economic times.

Assuming a) we were in court and b) I was the judge.

Then I would see you charged with wasting court time by which point I was a copper.

be owed to a person in that company if they have made efforts on your behalf but remember, when the company collective makes the business decision to feck you off down the road, your previous loyalties will have no bearing whatsoever.

You should leave this company anyway, for the simple reason that the little, yellow cvnts have started hunting whales again.

guise of do the job first to prove it which I completely disagree with. Now this has happened.

Sorry man.

That was your time to act.

Things change, we are on the brink of a big war. They should have paid you more from the get go but you agreed to the compromise which is no longer valid.

Perhaps you should look to leave, but then you will be unhappy elsewhere.

You should have no ambition in life and aim low. Trust me.

At this stage I only care about money.

I wish to buy a house.

I will fix this after Christmas.

but could you please stop putting commas between two adjectives? It ruins the flow of your otherwise excellent prose.

A fair few companies work on the basis of... f**k you.. take us to court if you can be arsed to go through months, if not years of wrangling, not to mention running up huge legal costs that in themselves can cause major financial issues with individuals.

I've known quite a few weigh up the odds and walk away over the years. The system should protect the employee but a lot of people really can't be arsed and find it easier to move on.

Remember the one thing about a Japanese firm. By and large, they will not make you redundant during tough times. It is seen as a failing of the company if staff are to be lost. Our ops department have reorgs every year and they only people that get the chop are those that can be paid off, i.e. 20 years+ service and near retirement types who get a golden handshake.

unlawful deductions (as that is what it amounts to) tribunals get listed fairly quickly as they are simply a matter of contract.

If a company takes a 'f**k you' attitude then, of course, they are not worth working for
