View Full Version : If Coquelin is out for more than a few weeks do we go to a Ramsey/Cazorla midfield?

To underperform/lose will grab it every time . They are also astoundingly unprepared in a lot of ways ....concentrate on winning the NFC and superbowl runners up trophy for this year :-|

DM in January now.

So no, i doubt very much he will buy one in january. It would need to be one that could play alongside coquelin or instead of him and the chances of him finding that now are very, very low.

He cant use ramsey in that position. Firstly because he is utterly **** at it and secondly because we need him on the right where we have precisely no other options bar the unbelievably **** campbell. Also, ramsey isnt even back yet.

Going into the season with a squad this small and already carrying three long termish injuries was a bit silly. He was effectively gambling on us not having further injuries which is the ultimate triumph of hope over experience. We now have to hope that the incredible burden we are placing on ozil, sanchez and cazorla doesnt catch up with any of them and, of course, it is going to.

I am afraid the decision not to buy anyone in the summer is beginning to look a little silly. Sillier by the week, especially when the likes of arteta, debuchy and campbell play so poorly.

summer everyone gets injuries but he seems to love to hide behind this as an excuse. The fact is everyone (& I include us novices) were saying we needed at LEAST a decent defensive midfielder to compete with Coq. He did f**k all & now we see where this has got us. He spouts too much negative stuff when we get injuries. You don't need to be the best manager in the world to put out a team capable of beating the likes of West Bom, injuries or no injuries.
And I predicted this, prior to our recent winless run, not because I am clever but because it is the same old story.

ie to prevent through balls that isolate Per into a one and one speed situation and to pick up the pieces after our attacks break down and everyone is totally out of position (even the full backs because they've pushed too far forward).

Maybe time to bring Gabriel in for Per and make the midfield more sturdy.

Flamini-Santi-Gibbs in the middle in front of them.

Then Ozil in the whole with Alexis and Giroud up front.

Simple.

The key would be for the midfield 3 to stay connected at all times and not get drawn way out of position....Ozil, Alexis and Giroud are good enough to get us 1 a game and that's all we really need.

can't keep throwing one useless player after another into the mix....just build a f**king team and get them playing like one!

-

All that said we could just say f**k it and throw Dragomir in there with uncle Flamini and just grind though it the best we can.

We know he can play down the centre and he has the physical presence for it.
I think he could adapt.

It won't happen, I know http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/ohwell.gif

Alongside a DM, in the Santi role, perhaps. Although that has to be Jack's position long-term...

Been a few occasions now where I have seen extended highlights of Sunderland matches and he has always looked the part.

A player whose brief cameo appearances can suggest optimism as he points and shouts, however a player who after a few games becomes blatantly clear why is no longer a viable consistent first team option.

Can you buy players while they're on loan at another club?

Nothing the sweetener of Joel Campbell chucked into the deal cannot overcome.

Utter ******** that boy.
