medievalists any ideas, what do you suppose it will be?

With air travel security so tight, if I were them I'd be looking at high speed train derailment. From an engineering perspective, very quick and easy to accomplish.

a train derailment isn't obvious enough imo.

Christmas Eve, Oxford St. Transit van pulls out, 6 Allans with AKs jump out of the back, 30 seconds of carnage.

As long as the f**kers don't get into Selfridges, I don't mind.

and just mount the pavement, ploughing into hundreds of shoppers?

Wouldn't happen if we all had guns to protect ourselves of course

unless they have a taxi or a bus. There's CCTV cameras everywhere there, you'd never get away with it in a car.

I would want to try the most audacious thing possible.
Rather than blow up a number 30 bus for example.

I only know this as they used to store one where I used to work.

I love saying it.

It's the fun part of IKEA going around saying the names.

And there are thousands of them. We're doomed. Not even Doctor Who could save us now. :-(

there for 30 years.

Would you describe Jay Rayner as a tourist?

Also no fat, :hehe:

Clear tourist pandering there.

No thank you.

Essentially, we live in different cities. I have no wish to have the likes of you in my part of the city, and I can assure you I have no intention of entering the sort of places you go. For one thing, I assume that my safety and security would be very much in question.

The beauty is, you see, is that I can be both in my part of the city and in yours, feeling quite at home in both.

How does that make you feel c?

Sir Charlie of Nicholas

Did you arrange your holiday, by the way?

Jake

That and breaking it up with a mini-break to Paris next week, wonderful timing of course.

For a special dinner you should try to book L'Astrance - there is usually an 8 month waiting list, but if you mention my name to Pascal Barbot he is sure to find you a table.

Lunch should be taken at Le Train Bleu at the Gare de Lyon, as much for the restored decor as much as the food.

Of course old favourites such as Bofinger and Le Cafe des Capucins continue to delight.
