I'm afraid. But they do love a moan, don't they? And they're terribly parochial.
Meanwhile, I ate some excellent bitterballen. One of them was filled with choucroute, which was interesting. Deep-fried choucroute. Well done the Dutch.

Is there a better bar snack than bitterballen? I think not. I have never encountered the choucroute version but imagine it to be awfully good.
I did once have a deep-fried, sugar coated foie gras sandwich. Actually I had it twice, returning to the restaurant in question on my next visit just to sample this wonder again.
Chips, shawarma and melty cheese. This is the work of a genius. And only 1,800 calories a portion!

Naturally, I took this in my stride and remained entirely suave - as though highly attractive women complimenting my choice of deep-fried comestibles was something that happened to me every day.

the indians, chinks, indo's, or pizzas in holland tbh..had a nice shwarmi and they do some nice chips n mayo but belg's do it better..overall found amshterdam food very meh
