Arsene had one foot in each of the last two camps in that case.

I blame the stylist who made him dress like that. I also blame him a little for not putting his foot down.

Japanese selvedge ftw.

He looked like an over-styled c**t. I am sorry but if you cannot see and acknowledge that then you have spent too long in the wrong company.

I do not have a style icon or whatever I look up to or aspire to look like.

Obviously Weller has ruled himself out after the Style Council unfortunateness.

I don't like suits, I do not wear suits. I like his music, I do not want to me a mini-me of the c**t.

Each to their own of course.

Ordinary people you sometimes see on the street but that is a fleeting one-off moment. Are they well-dressed every day, no idea.

People who try too hard look silly (in my view), fashion can be bought, style not so.

I see chaps wear things I would not dream of, good luck to them, they bought the clothes. The same applies in reverse.

It is of course an entirely personal thing which means a lot of the perceived rules that surround clothing are both nonsensical and also very annoying. A person over a certain age should not wear jeans, a person should not wear trainers, a jacket is suitable attire for certain occasions, a tie etc.

It’s all *******s.

The only rule which a person over the age of say 25 should always adhere to is to never ever EVER wear fancy dress. This is essentially caught up in what is seen as acceptable behaviour for a grown-up.

Though you have to imagine that if Steve McQueen looked like Emo Philips he wouldve been less cool.

That wasnt so hard, was it?

Touch of the Pete Townsend about him.

Perhaps in more ways than one.

The exception to the fancy dress rule is if a lady wishes to dress up like a strumpet of some kind.
