I watched both episodes of Class of '92 last night, and enjoyed them very much.

The director was remarkably lucky that the outcome fitted so perfectly into the narrative; it could almost have been scripted.

Points arising:

1. The programme brought back bitter memories of the smell and cold, damp feel of changing rooms and, far, far worse, the battering of the senses by a sweary working class man. Why must football coaches ALL be council tenants whose every second word is 'fahk' or '****'? It's just depressing.

2. Scholes, Butt and Giggs appear to share one brain cell between them.

3. All 5 live in surprisingly modest houses; humility or lack of imagination?

4. I think I want Gary Neville to be my friend :-(
