View Full Version : I wonder how many times the average cretinous Arsenal fan has changed their mind about Wenger over

Monty91

the past 12 months?

There were certainly many around the time of the Stoke away defea last season who wanted him out, but I’m fairly sure by the time we’d won the Cup again a large number of these would have flipped.

Then this season, after the ****e start t the season and only buying Cech. the numbers would certainly have swelled again, but how many people do you think now would want him out?

It must be quite some emotional rollercoaster being a cretinous cancer-deserving c**t.

that Wenger "finally listened to the fans" by spending some fackin' money.

But after a summer in which, much to their annoyance, he only signed Cech, that theory is no longer available.

Tricky one.

as if Higuain would have been happy to sit on the bench all season, just to play Sheff Wed

Besides, when he did rest some first teamers and played a WC player (Ospina), he got criticised for that too

FA cups I am happy with those too.

I wish for one day to see us win the league again.

We have some wonderful footballers in the team. Best in years. They deserve good things. And so does Wenger.

In a period of twenty years at the helm, there will inevitably be good times and bad, regardless of who's in charge.

more thanhim over the past ten years. It’s impossible for any of us to know.

But on balance, I think the argument for keeping him has been strong enough to pretty much be a no-brainer.

It would be like getting rid of a perfectly good wife who makes you happy and with whom you may very well have a wonderful future together, *just incase* there’s a better one out there.

Of course some people go overboard but it's silly.

To describe an honourable gentleman who has given the institution in which we share an interest years of success, loyalty and self-sacrifice as a 'senile French c**t' displays a depth of nastiness and ignorance which allows me to dismiss these people as lower than filth.

I admit it. It's a class thing. Common people are vile :-(

None. I've always maintained a position of change.
Twenty years is too much for any manager in the world of professional football.

We'll always be competing for top 4, nothing will change as the financial conditions now in place around the club mean that a chimp could probably manage at least top 6

Monty91

due diligence required.

It is absolutely logical and reasonable to always start from a position that Wenger is right, and to consider every factor that may have dictated his decision, before deciding he is wrong.

As a devout defender of Wenger, I found myself doing this over his decision to play Ospina in the CL. I considered every factor that could have influenced his decision and, on balance, decided he was wrong

Can you honestly say the fans who tend to always criticise him *ever* do this with rigour?

A couple of occasions I've thought perhaps it's time for him to go and then completely goes and redeems himself......or I've just thought about the possible alternatives

It's simply the Stalinesque length of tenure that causes me an issue.
As you also alluded to in an earlier post, another manager may have come in and achieved more in the last ten years.

The club have been incredibly patient with him. Yet again this season we appear to have an injury list far greater than any other PL side. Was he not castigated for his outdated training methods by those inside the game on more than one occasion last year.

I don't know if this is true but it does appear to be a disturbing pattern.

That's far from endorsing him as being an ideal candidate for the role.
I don't feel a burning desire for him to be replaced but had the club got rid five or six seasons back, when they should have done, I don't believe we'd be any worse off than where we find ourselves today.
