View Full Version : So it's looking very much as if that airliner that came down in Egypt was bombed. Frown

Mind you, it's going to take some brass neck for Putin to claim the moral high ground on this one, what with his lads having shot down that Malaysian airliner over Ukraine and everything.

Pressure bulkhead failures are rare, certainly, but when they happen they might as well be a bomb.

Looks like an Allan Akhbar job to me.

And if it was the forces opposed to the regime in Kiev it would surely have been an accident.

substandard maintenance says so...

You'd imagine security at Sharm would be pretty tight, wouldn't you? I hear that, in fact, the opposite is true.

Although if it's a bomb then I guess I should be more worried about the return flight back to London.

follow the Nile before cutting over the Gulf of Suez and into South Sinai. Seems Easyjet don't fancy flying over North Sinai either.

Anyway - if it was a bomb, then surely some Allan Akbars would come out and claim it was them - and also probably back it up with propaganda of the preparation. This makes me think it could have been at catastrophic malfunction of a poorly maintained aircraft.

Imagine drinking pre-flight in public, for Christ's sake! Proper aircrew enjoy discreet room parties and no one is ever the wiser.

The footage of him in his hospital bed weeping like a baby because he couldn't save them all is quite heart-rending.

I should point out that all the crew were magnificent; the FO, FE, positioning training Captain who came up to help, and the cabin crew who stayed for ages in the smoke and flames chucking people out...
