View Full Version : So Senile French Fvck told Theo not to bother warming up and get straight onto the pitch.

Even Tim Sherwood or Mourinho wouldn't be that daft.

seemed a bit daft to play Chamberlain and Walcott.

Also, where was Jeff?

isn't good enough for West Bom. Can we take him back and use him?

Another option could be putting Cazrola out there but who comes into the middle? Obviously not Arteta - what has happened to Rosicky?

Also, not sure Flamini can be trusted in the middle. Seems to think he's a proper box to box midfielder.

well, warm up.

when we were trying to hang on to a lead.
Our players appear to just do what they want, Ramsey gets picked on the right and spends the whole game in central midfield, Flamini comes on to help shore up the midfield and spends the whole time trying to score, it's like being at school.
Also looked like he could have cut out the ball for their first goal by sliding instead of just standing there.

that most of the people who are harping on about it now wouldn't have even thought about it.

How odd. Maybe he was in the toilet during the warm up?

Besides if complete inactivity led to injury Giroud would have ended the game with 7 broken legs

plus he was on for 15 minutes before the injury, warm up has squat to do with it.

My issue is that he shouldn't have been there at all

yesterday.

Is inconsistent time keeping by the fourth official.
They seem to have creative licence when a game is not close. 3 added minutes at the end of the game.

It took 5 minutes for that cund to come off as a sub.

Loved it when it came up with the yellow cards for the season 9 - in 13 games. Utter, despicable scum

Watching him and Gibbs faff about really does highlight how good our current fullbacks are.

The term injury concerns also includes fatigue within scope.

Professional footballers chosen to play football match shocker.

The problem is the very existence of the stupid competition. I think England is perhaps the only major European league that operates a second all-inclusive cup competition. I am not sure if an exemption from competing for sides that are involved in Europe is either feasible or even a good idea, I only say this as I have heard it mooted before as a compromise.

hopefully it will go down as a Debuchy own goal, I think his performance merited it.

(and playing both) in a competition that is clearly incredibly low on the priority list was a touch foolish

The fact that Ozil, Sanchez, Bellerin, Monreal, Coquelin, Koscielny, Gabriel were all given the night off sort of demonstrates that

Hindsight, marvellous thing. Had we won and both players scored not one person would have queried their inclusion, indeed the fight for supremacy between both players would be discussed.

The Carling Cup allows squad rotation of sorts.

Wenger deciding that others needed a game such as your Chambers, Gibbs, Flamini. I have only now looked at the 11 that played as I did not even bother watching the game but it does appear an odd team, few names I have never seen before in an Arsenal sense.

Thing is nobody complained about the involvement of first team and/or first team fringe players when we beat Tottenham. I seem to recall Ramsey playing that one, maybe a few others we see as first 11.

Different higher-profile opposition of course but the same competition which I think most people will agree is unnecessary and silly. What we are witnessing this morning is a frustrated reaction to injuries, ultimately where the Carling Cup sits in the list of priorities is irrelevant.

Us having only two recognised strikers is an entirely separate issue.

Smithwicks is a bar staple, one of 6-7 draughts offerings that can be guaranteed.

We have fully jumped on the so-called craft beer train over here, bars overflowing with various Irish brewed options. Some decent, some utterly undrinkable*.

*When I say undrinkable I mean you finish it but think long and hard about another of the same

on the strength of the players he didn't take then he shouldn't have taken Walcott. That's not hindsight, plenty were saying it prior to kick-off

The spurs match was a different matter entirely, it was spurs

her maiden aunt cashed in her chips. The beer was utter ****e, though.

Don't get me started on craft beers. There have been few less welcome movements in recent times than the advent of craft beers as far as I'm concerned. I don't greatly enjoy walking into what looks like a proper pub only to be confronted by some bearded c**t with a lip ring and a range of beers with stupid names - none of which I know whether they will be good or utter ****. Almost always they are ****. Usually, they are poorly kept and served too warm (the words 'cellar temperature' really need to be explained to some of these beer****s). Generally, if I walk into such a place, I will have one pint of whatever sounds least irritating and then go and find a pub with a range of proper bitters from proper breweries.

I had a beautiful pint of N1 Oyster Stout in the Tap Room on Upper Street on Saturday. Though Withnail's Pumpkin Spice Bitter, I will admit was a step too far

to be an answer to a question nobody asked. We have any number of excellent and widely-available ales, stouts, milds, etc in this country. There is simply no requirement for these awful niche brewers to produce beers that - in my experience - are almost always less good than their mass-produced equivalent. The only possible reason to go for craft beers is if they make half-decent lagers, which aren't available in this country other than in bottles. But lager drinkers can f**k off anyway imo.

I can see the value of the movement in somewhere like Australia or America, where the widely available beers are invariably ****, but see no value in it whatsoever in this country. I'm all for there being a choice, but it's not a choice I'm interested in and seems to me to be driven more by hipsterism and snobbery than actual appreciation of beer.
