My contact lens has disappeared up into my eyeball.

You realise that eyeballs are actually not the delicate jelly-like things you thought and are actually quite robust. Also, you realise that contact lenses can't go behind your eye and end up in your brain.

I suffer from periodic bouts of Uveitis which can leave me almost blind and needing to lay in a darkened room for weeks on end.
