My house seems to have been invaded by absolutely massive spiders

I was sat on the sofa with a glass of wine last night and my kitten suddenly leapt from the sofa and tore across the lounge where he began to play with a spider that was around twice the size of a 50 pence piece. He killed it and ate it.

Then this morning, when I went to get in the shower, I see another one of similar size in the shower. Washed him down the plughole and went to get ready for work. Went back into the shower room to brush my teeth and it was f**king there again! :-(

so quickly can be anything but pure evil. How can I get rid of them? Stop feeding my cat, perhaps? He'll have to hunt them for food.
