Bueller's Day Off (he's actually just a c**t); everything by Joel Schumacher; Empire Strikes Back and Blade Runner.

the cool, piloty bits), the entire romantic subplot, the stuff about his dad - anything that isn't either a musical sequence, Meg Ryan or flying basically - it's great.

Of them all, Blade Runner is the most overrated. Indeed, I'm not sure there's a more overrated director than Ridley Scott. Alien was great, but everything else, not so much.

The whole thing is basically a hymn to his selfishness, bullying, thoughtlessness, lack of respect for the possessions or feelings of others and manipulative narcissism.

Original Star Wars is probably the best of the lot and much of that is down to Alec Guinness.

not overrated. Basically, Empire gets **** as soon as the Battle on Hoth ends. After than it's boring flying about, flirting, snogging, tedious hippy crap from Yoda until eventually something happens and Darth Vader understandably cuts Luke's hand off to relieve the tedium.

The rest of it is rather meh but it did give us the whole I am your father bit which was a jaw dropper when I first watched it.

I take it you're not going to watch the new SW when it's out in December?

it.

The latest in the ever lovable soap opera laden with star ship battles, lasers shooting all about the place and a meeker looking Darth Vader. Might even sate myself with popcorn or nachos which is something I normally look down upon others doing.
