Basically one long advert for a succession of unobtainable men's lifestyle products.

The thing that gets me about your modern bond is that they're no longer possible to even enjoy on an ironic level. The last ones you could do that with were roger moore.

Second time round, not so much, but still liked it a lot. Adaptation is still my fave, though

Give me the Connery era bond any day. They managed to work in plenty of product placement (Martinis shouldnt really be made with Vodka, let alone dross like smirnoff, for example) and still made a decent, memorable film.

Bond nowadays is just one long advert, which as far as I'm aware you can watch for free between other more entertaining programmes.
