View Full Version : In a world where we're encouraging children to believe they're the wrong sex and the NHS is paying

for people to get pumped full of steroids and have their genitals whipped off and replaced with some grotesque mockery of the opposite sex's downstairs arrangement, then surely it's quite unacceptable to suggest that this man as a poor, deranged lunatic (even though he clearly is)? We must surely respect his desire to look like a parrot as a valid life choice and the public health system ought to pay for it?

it is hardly far-fetched to imagine that sometimes biology may go wrong and leave people feeling in the 'wrong' body. As we know, there are significant numbers of people across the world reporting that this is indeed how they feel and that it causes them great psychological anguish.

It *is*, however, far-fetched to imagine that biology has a habit of going wrong enough to make large numbers of us think we're parrots.

Furthermore, nowhere does this chap indicate he believes it to be anything other than a lifestyle choice.

You think all the benching is just a front?

Don't beat around my bush - if that's what you think, I'd prefer you came out and said it.

I do not expect others to automatically do what I think is normal and healthy.

You have simply made a rather impassioned defence of these people above. You sympathise clearly, empathise perhaps.

Your complete and utter absence of sexual adventure until your mid 20s also suggests confusion.

but that doesn't make them a good basis for medical procedure, ffs! Clitoridectomy for 'hysterical' women, cupping, bleeding and leeches were once considered 'hardly far fetched', whereas germ theory was widely mocked for decades by the medical establishment - as, more recently, was the idea that stomach ulcers were bacterial in origin. Yet the last two were rock solid scientific FACT proved by actual data while the other lot were *******s based on exactly the sort of superficial surmise you've just made.

As for the numbers, as soon as you tell attention-seeking loonies their lunacy is OK, guess what? Millions of them will crawl out of the woodwork.

And no. I don't think this chap is a parrot - or even thinks he is. I just think he's suffering a mental disorder - which (as with most mental disorders) is actually biological in origin. Why do you not find it 'hardly far fetched' that a 'trans' person is suffering something similar?

The simple fact that you were not elbow deep vet-style into one of these chicks tells me all I need to know.

We’re not talking early teenage disco in Golders Green here, Marbella on a week long holiday with mates (unless you were with your parents).

Non-binary imo.

path to happiness is chopping their bits off, then let them get on with it. They’re affecting no-one but themselves and the cost to the tax payer is surely offset by the burden they would otherwise become through ongoing mental health issues, depression, absenteeism from work, etc.

on said holiday. I declined because I could tell she didn’t really want to have sex with me and she was only asking because her friend was getting nailed in the room next door by a much better looking brummie bloke we’d befriended a few days earlier.

Oh and I fingered a 14 year old Jewish chick outside a club called Exotis. A few weeks later we very awkwardly bumped into each other in the queue for a crepe in Hampstead, where my highly mature friend decided it would be funny to sniff my fingers in direct view of this horrified young girl.

Kind of 'cure' for their ongoing mental health problems. Also, your position suggests that the point of public health is to make people happy. It isn't. It is to make them pain-free, able and productive or -in the case of the geriatric or seriously disabled - to afford them comfort in so far as possible.
