I watched the end of season finale for Fear the Walking Dead the night before, it was rather good but it's a stark comparison placed next to the original.

Still far too focused on one of the daftest families on the planet though. Could have done with a lot more Army V Zombie shoot outs imo.

Also they should have nicked some bits from WW Zeeee and had stories of how it developed rather than dopey American teenagers being American teenagers

But I still dont think anything radical - like them finding a cure or a magic island where there arent any zombies - is ever likely to happen.

I'm not entirely sure what you had in mind for the apocalypse though, did you think it would be a bit more jazzy?

Waste a few straying but largely incidental zombies. Hatch an escape plan, lose one or two key members per season..... You know where I'm at ?
At least if Luc Besson got hold of the script there'd be some grand scale, f**k off explosions and an end game..

Fear the walking dead should get better....it's been "Green lit" for a 2nd, longer, season/series...

in the quarry, spray them with petrol and set light - once the fire gets fully going it would spread and burn up the load of them....

And why did'nt they just kill off the zombies in that tractor dealership when they were originally scouting the site and going over the plan?
