I have nothing else to say.
except there is a woman in the office who keeps saying 'Check check, double check'

When she says this I feel like smashing up the place.

Because I like a bit of flammekuechen. It's like pizza but without so much tedious vegetable matter.

This was particularly tricky when I did Sunday lunch for me, the wife and various children, when I discovered the secret of perfect roast potatoes* and couldn't have any.

*You cook them in the oven and then, just before serving, you deep fry them for a minute in the deep fat fryer. Perfect, they were - apparently :-(

Given that you also consider exercise to be a singularly homosexual enterprise, I'm not quite sure where this leaves unfortunate types like Berni.

When my daughter was young was when I first put on a load of weight, actually. Too knackered to exercise, you get into bad eating patterns and habits and you tend to comfort eat to distract you from the relentless misery of babies. :-(

And for the record I have nothing whatsoever against exercise, I am not that f**king stupid.

I don't like gyms.

I have found a nice jogging route though, that takes me past Mesut and Alisher's houses.

It's a rum old business, to be sure. Can't say I miss it very much.

For afters I will probably have a Mint Magnum or a rake of digestives with a glass of milk.

I eat a considerable amount of the things Berni has listed and am far from fat.

Have you considered a vegetable, at all?

Last night I had pasta and pesto. Night before I had some toast.

I had some sugar snap peas on Sunday.

that do me the most damage. :-( The only upside is that I don't have a sweet tooth, so at least am spared the ravages of sugar.

I have never been fat but can’t imagine what my arteries etc may be like given I come from a family with a good track record of heart related issues.

Berni

I just like to occasionally bring up TOFI to worry smug thin f**kers, tbh ;-)

Monty91

But I find it almost impossible to put on weight.

I’m 35 now so I’m assuming I’ve simply lucked out for life.

Sorry.

Berni

Regular exercise and lean muscle make a huge difference to metabolism.

I basically didn't exercise in any meaningful sense between the ages of 24 and about 35. That's where the real damage was done for me, I think. :-(

Mind you, you want to watch that chocolate habit.
