View Full Version : I'm a little bit wondering whether the difference between yesterday and some of our more

disappointing games was not in the way we started the game, but the fact that we put away those chances. So often we start quite well, with dominating, dangerous and incisive football but f**k up those chances, then let the opposition back into the game.

I blame Thierry Henry :-(

It's been a long time since we handed out a real league thrashing to anyone - let alone a title rival-type team. Yesterday just felt a bit like an opportunity missed, that's all.

It's not the way we think, as a team.

Not sure what's wrong with him this season but he'd not be an automatic starter if Jack had a proper pair of legs.

front foot like that – especially away games.

And you also need to be able to win the kind of games you describe, in which you miss lots of early chances.

yesterday than, say, 6-2. Don’t underestimate the importance of the clean sheet.

goals or not. Just as we say (used to say) when we go to White Hart Lane; they will batter us early on, run out of steam and then we'll end up winning.

If the keeper doesn't make that save from Martial ..

primarily, to counter balance the attacking nature of the rest of the midfield and attack, all of whom, besides Coquelin, are always looking to get forward.

The downside to this is that he's a little bit restricted in his game out on the right and also less of a goalscoring threat, which is clearly affecting his confidence when he does get chances. But this does not negate from all the good work he puts in. He was integral to much of the fantastic stuff we produced in those first 20 minutes and yet he is remembered mainly for a poor miss and a couple of misplaced passes.
