I sometimes wonder if fluking that CL was the worst thing that could have happened to them, since it's helped them to sustain their delusions about the place of the club in the scheme of things.

good amount of time to broach and develop his doctrine off and on the field.

I'm not sure if the "transfer committee" and the FSG provide a potential stumbling block, but if I were a betting man I would put good money on him being their next manager.
