seems to have actually made it easier for goverments, media to bare face lie about situations or policies likeobama is doing now by hilariously saying that Russia is making it...worse ( yes the thing they created)..BUT the media and government now can listen to some Syrian puppet in a room in Coventry or just print bare face lies and mistruths and never have to explain itself or prove itself, it seems that as theres so much chatter pro and for every opinion that the actual facts get ignore totally. in the 60's n 70's lying about policy meant you were f**ked if caught, now it means nothing, you are in effect untouchable.
what interests me more though is reading the comments in daily mail, daily express etc..our media is not representing our thoughts or beleifs but it seems the age of the idiot and by thinking making a comment against an article is democracy..means that no actual rebellion or change actually happens. if it was the 20's n 30's with the banks, wars, economy, immigrants,wars..our government was genuinely fearful of revolution.. now they know that by making us think we are free because of web of information that I effect they control us more than ever...George orwell would give a rye smile imo..dumb spastics weare

1) As usual the right wing best exemplifies this, though it is present in a lesser form to the left. But Fox-only watchers believe that: Obama has worsened the deficit, Obamacare has made our medical situation worse, Benghazi was a real scandal etc. all of which are easily proved false by a simple check of 3 other credible sources. But people get complacent and stick to the people who tell them what they just KNOW is true.

2) Scientists who study a discipline for years to gain the basic skillset to do the science, then spend 60+ hours a week DOING the science and thinking about it are offset by some guy with an opinion - who doesn't have the background or spend the time on it.
Key examples here: Climate change (the most obvious... "the earth has a history of cycles in climate, so we're just in another one" As if the scientists spending 60 hours a week never thought of this???
Also, economics is another - where a Ron Paul runs around for 8 years now saying that we're months away from rampant inflation..while were still pretty much at 0 8 years later and there's no change in the message. Or Paul Ryan complains about both trade deficits and the threat of debasing our dollar at the same time.
