View Full Version : Was there much said about Leicester's first goal at the weekend?

What an awful goal to give away. Mertesacker high up the pitch, exposed against a pacey striker.

Wasn't there a very similar goal conceded last season where Mertesacker tried to win the ball on the halfway line and not track his runner?

Quite right too, imo.

We crushed the Foxes 5-2.

Jump on the happy bus and enjoy the ride.

Let the good times be never ending. That’s not a Weller song by the way.

And also the swashbuckling nature of the performance.

No idea why, perhaps an idiotic atrempt to play offside. Anyway, that let vardy go.

A ludicrous goal to give away.

or he certainly been working on his speed of turning if not his turn of speed, but he is strangely high up the pitch

It is very odd. Three minutes in, first replay.

He is actually well into the leicester half and just before the ball is played to the guy who lumps it he darts in front of vardy, presumably to cut out the pass. Vardy pisses off behind him and he has nonchance of catching up.

Why on earth was he so far up the pitch in the first place? Weird.

my apologies - very odd. Still almost gets back to him - very tidy finish from Vardy
