The perhaps over confident pre-season optimism dashed a little by the reality when games start. The West Ham and Zagreb results were both very poor, the Chelsea one expected really (based on all previous form).

We will recover from those defeats, qualify from our CL group, exit in Spring and have a decent run in the league finishing top 4 as there really only is 4 good sides in the League. At this point some will see the season as vindication of everything Wenger does for the club, others will indulge in hand-wringing and suggest that with just a little bit more we could have done more.

And then it is the summer, transfer windows and it all begins again.

Groundhog day as such, but footballistically.
