1) I don't watch Chelsea so I have no knowledge whatsoever of Fabregas's form. I have seen newspaper columns hysterically querying his decline but that is simply silly so I moved on.

2) Gerrard is in America, so essentially retired. I have even less interest in him than I did when he played in the Premier League.

They are one of the few PL sides whose involvement would probably cause me to switch over or off. I imagine most of their players are under performing this season to date though I expect they will in time come good.

As it stands I am unsure if I have seen any of their PL activities this season before the brief piece I caught in the pub on Saturday.

You appear to assume that a midfield footballer will readily concede fouls when he plays, perhaps having fooled yourself into believing that the much fabled “DM” player is indeed an animal who charges around the pitch hurtling into tackles with no regard for his own or others safety. You have displayed a complete disregard for essential qualities in a players game such as positioning, intelligence and anticipation.

Clearly, and beyond dispute, you have never ever played the game at any reasonable level beyond fun but ultimately meaningless 5 a side kickabouts with your equally as untalented friends, each of you attired in your replica shirt of choice.

You have also overlooked the level of dominance that we had on Saturday, 68% possession as has been posted by young Jake, against a team whose midfield was about as insipid and anonymous as was possible. I am struggling to even remember who was in their middle.

Essentially you are a fraud.
