Soon will come a great rain, a final, cleansing flood to wash away our filth and leave a fresh, clean canvas upon which a new People may start again.

Good luck to them, I say.

The freak wants to be Jonathan one day and Rachel the next, so do you talk to him about Walcott's finishing or Bake Off.

For his club, Walcott is fast becoming a 'Get Out Of Jail FREE' card. Eleven goals in his last eleven Premier League starts the statistic tells us, leading the reader to believe he has scored in the last eleven Premier League games in which he started. It isn't true of course but if quickly became this weekend's motif. It's a run which also spans either side of his horrendous injury suffered nearly two years ago. Taking form that far apart is something of a stretch at best.

. . .scored by The Arsenal :cloud9:

Very much enjoy watching Gabriel play as well. Can't wait for Sanchez to start scoring

but yes - I hope he gets a run of games now. Would imagine Giroud will start in Wednesday but Theo back in for Chelsea imo

It is a black and white statement of fact I presume, so no it does not in any way detract from the achievement.

Theo has always provided a goal threat, still not entirely convinced he is a centre-forward all the same.

His goal on Saturday reminded me of Thiery in a way, or perhaps a specific goal he scored at some point. His misses less so, one in particular (second half) which was shocking.

Everton bullied Terry and Zouma

I strongly suspect Sanchez will be giving Ivanovic nightmares

though how the poor f**ker didn't score on Saturday I don't know

Monty91

Wenger know it.

Even his biggest critics would acknowledge that he is more than capable of putting away some of the chances he is currently missing.

That should excite us. If he kicks on, he could get a f**k ton of goals for us.

then there is the Ox. Can't believe Chelsea are going to be as **** as they appeared on Saturday though

Couldn't wait to get the "not a natural centre forward line out" and then bang on about it for 90 minutes. Amazing how much you can learn about world-class centre forwards by spending a career getting left on your arse by them. Fair to say he annoyed me quite a lot

mean “composed".

If Henry hadn’t scored so many, I think he would have been criticised for the same thing. Walcott’s way of approaching chances has clearly been influenced heavily by Thierry. It looks like he's not being assertive, but what he's doing is staying calm, which is what Thierry tells all his pupils to do.

an way trip to Zagreb and an early kick off on Saturday are not really helping our cause though

First half header and second half one I alluded to, his earlier miss following the save from Sanchez’s header I think was perfectly excusable.

The goal he scored I think was more difficult than any of the above and thus was a great finish.

Thing is we won the game comfortably in the end so there is really nothing to be gained from the media over-stressing the chances he missed, over the season I think we both know he will score a lot.

Different scenario of course had Stoke managed to sneak one back in their (very) brief moments in the sun. Funny old game and all that.

even if it is at home. Atmosphere can easily affect the players if they don't start well - and if they aren't convincing that can affect Sat's game
