He was wonderful, until his team mates stopped passing to him on the left later in the game and kept trying to burrow through the middle leaving him standing out there looking forlorn. Shame, that.

I like watching Germany play football and have done for many years. Somehow the plucky scotchers fluked a couple of goals which almost made it interesting.

Namely the side of a pitch in Knocklyon.

Grass roots football A.

I love canals. Apart from the cyclists who ruin them, unfortunately. Canal museum in Battle Bridge basin is worth a visit if you're interested.

Dunphy said: "We can beat Germany. Germany are poor. They have players who can’t get in Premier League teams: Schweinsteiger, Emre Can. We have to believe that. We have to stop talking ourselves down.”

I'm sure you are above the 'dad thing' on the touchline. All that ranting and raving wouldn't really seem your style.

So after 1 hour last night at training tonight now I have another 1.5 hour meeting with the Catalan Training Academy employed by the club to roll out training to the under age sides.

I wish I had never said a f**king thing.

In general there is no ranting and raving as parents have to stand behind a cordoned off area a set distance from the field and behind the goals.

I have to be honest and say I have not witnessed any ranting as the kids are too young, have come across some bell end parents mind you.

Said in a pantomime style to try and underline just what a ridiculous pundit he is. The same pundit who a week ago would have been on his soapbox about how bad Irish football is, a f**k-up by Scotland causing all sorts of re-assessments.

An unfit Schweinsteiger would still wipe the floor with a fully fit duo of Whelan and McCarthy.

So you've got to do this all season? Oh well, only eight or nine months to go.

Well done, parents and well done the pub, imo.

The car park for the home pitch is shared with Delanys Pub.

If the players cannot adjust to my methods then we may need to part our ways. My time is precious A but my logic was that I would be there anyway so may as well help out.

I told the manager last night that I would be missing this Saturday's game and he almost told me off.

Think my last international game was v France when I stood up and celebrated, or vigorously acknowledged, Thierry's winner from outside the box, then ended up in a very heated and sweary argument with 2 c**ts in the seats in front of me.

At least this time I know Mezut won't score.
