You may have to take a hit on the dog if you want to keep the baby at arm's length, mate. Look at it this way: it'll only live 10 years or so, you won't have to pay for it to go to college and it doesn't need shoes, so all in all, it's a better bet.

You've got at least a 30 or 40-minute drive from Croydon before you cross the river. You've got a 2-minute drive from Strood to Rochester.

What's this all about again? Are you saying that Strood is a part of Rochester or not? I think all you wanted to say is that Gillingham and Strood are both ****holes. If so it seems odd to exclude Chatham from the list.
