View Full Version : What do we think of this Minecraft billionaire chap who is desperately unhappy with his fortune

Ashberto

because it has sapped his motivation and he has to wait all day for his family and friends to come home from work so he can see them and so on?

Answers moving beyong the obvious "give it all to me then" would probably be preferred. Maybe even beyond the "support Arsenal and give it to the club so we can use it to not buy any players".

I assume this 'Minecraft' is a game? So a computer geek became a billionaire by making a game?

Truly, we live in strange times. A man is allowed to use a ladies' changing room because he claims to be a woman, and a nerd with no imagination has a well-paid job :-(

Where did everything go wrong, a?

This man has toiled long and hard to make the best of the abilities that the good lord gave him. While others have spent their time idling it away, and gorging on the pleasures of the flesh, he has performed great feats of technical and creative (yes, you missed that) endeavour, to give pleasure to millions in the healthy and harmless recreational pastime of playing a game - something humanity has enjoyed for as long as there has been civilisation.

He deserves respect for that at least. He does obviously need a hobby though, the whinging, self-pitying spastic.

So now we're potentially upsetting, outraging, inconveniencing or simply making uncomfortable half the population in order to pander to the delusions of a tiny group of the mentally ill based on scientific evidence that ranges from 'flimsy' to 'non-existent'? Excellent. Well done everyone. We've officially gone f**king mad. The Allan Akbars may have a f**king point about us.

My favourite irony is that the sort of idiots who'll scream about this poor lunatic's right to behave in defiance of all visual, aural, scientific and medical evidence are exactly the same people who'll scream loudly about how religious people should not have any dispensations made for their particular beliefs about how the world works.

It's just awfully sad. :-(

Plus, this f**ker's barely even making an effort imo. I could look more like a bird given some slap and an hour in Top Shop.

The reason is because they would all f**k him off I guess.

The Huns are knocking on the city walls and, soon enough, they will crumble.

It may be no bad thing. We've probably taken this as far as we can. A couple of millenia of muslamic slaughter and savagery may be what's required to take the whole thing back to year 0 and start again.

Ashberto

At this point it's either that or the Allan Akbar's, I'm afraid. Only one can defend western civilisation. Pick a side.

perhaps?

Or potentially assemble a collection of classic cars which he could lovingly restore?

Or he could make it his mission to go and follow England on every overseas test match tour, all the time staying in the best hotels and eating at the best restaurants.

There are boundless opportunities for him and I do not believe for one second that he's so much of a social retard that his only passion is computer games. Even supposing it is, he could just make another f**king game.

unlikely to be following English, or any other, cricket.

In fact what you suggest is what Paul Allen did with his Microsoft billions. Set up loads of companies as toys to play with but don't have to make any money. That is until now, where the one I work for has to make loadsa money or will get shut down. :-| That's not unreasonable in itself were it not for the fact that the core of people at the top are used to a certain level of comfort from themselves which they can only maintain, it seems from my perspective, by screwing the people at the bottom. Grrr!

It's a f**king long way to go to find yourself in aculture that is essentially remedial-class European.

Someone told me the other day that they'd just returned from 'safari' in South Africa. It turned out they'd done a 6 hour drive in the Kruger.

Might as well have gone to Windsor Safari Park, the thick ****.

I expect the graphics are good and the user interface is something or other.

I had a brief chat with SW Jnr this morning about Minecraft, specifically the Moo-Shrooms therein. Hadn't a f**king clue what he was about.

the lodge is fantastic, albeit without electricity.

Also, other jeeps in Kruger aren't allowed within the area of Sabi Sands, which helps.

Another thought I had was that we ought to book one in early next year, around Jan 22/23, to celebrate the anniversary of Rorke's Drift.

Check with your other half about the weekends of 31/10 - 1/11, 7 -8/11, or 14-15/11.
