I do like the idea of this 'team' who have been working day and night since june and, in three months, dont appear to have found a single player we can buy.

Summer That will prove to be brilliant players. We just didn't find them or didn't rate them.

I think my main point is that if we were focusing on a very small group of top players why have a team been working day and night for three months? How can there possibly be that much work to do?

come to us. Perhaps because we can't/won't offer them the kind of wages that would make the decision a no-brainer or perhaps because we don't hold the same footballistic allure as some other top clubs, since we haven't won a proper trophy for a decade.

doesnt seem like the last couple of seasons with the fans baying for blood because of no improvements....seems to be an acceptance of - oh well 3rd place again.

Hope I'm wrong...would quite like Cavani but just can't see it happening...
