For me this is very odd. If you have targets or positions you are targeting why not have a back up plan if plan A doesn't come through. Rather than waiting until the end. I know you can force deals through but teams are not going to give players out for free. (Unless you are West Ham)

How are you handlin the whole Benzema thing?

Let's say this Benzema stuff is true a last minute offer can be tempting. But they should have an idea really if this is going to happen. But then that's risky. you can lose the player completely and have no time to get the second or third choice. But this should be judged if their is interest from the player at all.

Then if you go for plan B plan A might end up at a rival.

But I think if you really have a position in the team you want to strengthen you might have to pay an extra bit to get it sorted.

I am not suggesting we just sling money about but when arsene says things like that it does leave him and the club open to several subsequent questions.

The worry is that if we dont improve quite quickly people are going to start suggesting that it is because he didnt buy anyone. Of course, it wont actually be because of that.
