knives. People are genuinely arguing about the relative merits of German vs Japanese and all sorts.

I guess this is what non-football fans think about us http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/ohwell.gif

Ramirez married three different times, until he finally decided having loved ones was no longer worth the resulting emotional pain of their inevitable deaths. His last wife was Shakiko, a Japanese princess, whose father, the great swordsmith Masamune, gave Ramirez a 'dragon head' katana in 592 BC, a sword originally intended for Masamune's adopted, pre-Immortal son, Ren

are the emperor's new clothes or, at best, a good entry level choice but a waste of time for anyone who wants to do proper cooking.

Frankly 've only been on there for 20 minutes and I already feel like I need to get a new hobby.

Handling? Edge? Design? Aesthetics? A prop for rape role-play with the missus?

"This is just a joke BurkeCutlery , obviously you don't know what you are talking about, or you just brainwashing others. All you posted about Henckels knives is not true and I'm shure you know it. Please try to do your homework befor writing another hiccup. You should specify if this judgement is based on yours or worlds standards."

Design isn't really an issue; I see the knife as very much a practical tool, an instrument to prepare food, until such a time as the opportunity arises to draw it slowly across your throat.

Obviously, at that point I would prefer it blunt and a little rusty

"OMG, what have I done. First, my sincere apologies to BurkeCutlery. Although strongly disagree with him, I should have worded my comment in a different and civilized manner, instead of this ugly assault. Hope he will accept it. Then I apologize to the other members of the forum who felt insulted by my writing. Once again I am really, really sorry!"

Knives and mattresses are well worth splashing out on. They will give you joy every day.

By the way, I often splash out on your mum's mattress.

That is what things cost. Either pay it or f**k off, but don't piss about buying a knife block containing tiny, useless knives that you will come to hate as it represents your own parsimony and lack of foresight.

Better to buy one or two really good knives for that money. Knife blocks are stupid **** for know-nothing knife noob c**ts and you are never going to use a tiny boning knife for anything ever.
