But in an even more ridiculous twist, defender Johan Djourou, who made an average of nine league appearances a season in his decade at Arsenal, scored an 89th-minute winner for Hamburg. With his side drawing 2-2 against Stuttgart, the Swiss won the ball, pirouetted, ran the ball out of defence and played it to a team-mate before inexplicably carrying on running in Forrest Gump fashion and picking the ball back up in the box to fire home.

sounds fictional tbh, the only bit I can picture is the Forrest Gump reference.

Hamburg winning is probably the weirdest thing

Adler appeared to go from Neuer to Almunia almost overnight.
Newcastle and Spurs have had this for years.

professional footballer, let alone one worth 30 million quid. Utterly woeful

He looked half decent in Italy and had a massive reputation at River, although I remember feeling the same about Rebrov, I should have more faith in Spurs really.

I assumed they meant the last one.

Can you remember an Ashes with a lower standard than this one?

There appears to no more than a couple of people on both team combined who can actually bat.

Cook deserved a ton on Saturday though - just knew Smith would bowl utter dross and then get a wicket. Just wish it had been Buttler. He really struggled against Lyon - f**k know what the Pakistan bowlers will do to him if he is picked

I do suspect that one reason Cook may have bowled on Thursday was that - while conditions might have looked half-decent - he's got no more faith in his top order than in Australia's.

the whole thing. Maybe even Lickle Mickey Owen's take on our batting failures. That will improve things
