So without anything more concrete, your assertion that he is a sympathiser to anti-semitism does look like a smear.

Were that the case, surely he would be even-handed and share platforms with both sides of the argument? But he doesn't, does he? Corbyn is not involved in the matter as a fair dealer, but as a proponent of one side against the other. He has only ever appeared on platforms supporting the cause of those who oppose Israel's very existence and he has been less than choosey in terms of who he has shared platforms with and described as 'friends'.

To say he is a sympathiser with and supporter for anti-semites is not a smear, it is a demonstrable fact. Whether that is the same as saying that he sympathises with their views on the Jews is another matter. I don't doubt he's probably sincere when he tells people he abhors anti-semitism, but it seems ludicrously naive to throw your hands up in horror at the idea that making common cause with those who are explicitly anti-semitic and never to have once called them on the matter opens you up to suspicion on the question.
