View Full Version : What will do for Corbyn in the end, I suspect, is his stand on gays.

Or perhaps it was saturday.

Stood beside him with his arm round his shoulder was that young Owen journalist chap that regularly boils your piss.

'They're all as bad as each other' is a fine, even-handed argument but never, ever right.

I find them amusing more than piss-boiling really. Although the rank anti-semitism is a little worrying. I sort of feel a bit sorry for the jews. What with all they've been through.

And, not only that, effectivelty granting him asylum here.

Lets not forget that was a pretty brutal coup to overthrow a democratically elected government and replace it with a vile, murderous regime.

Sir Charlie of Nicholas

And you're still making assumptions.

Despite all that, I fail to see how any of it relates to Corbyn.

Jorge then gave an actual example of a previous prime minister.

What was the point of your BNP story? What does that have to do with Corbyn?

Anyway, who have you decided on as your gruesome twosome?

I think I'll temper my hard left image by not going Corbyn/Watson and instead going for Creasy as deputy. She's got a lovely smile.

Election has been removed?

I am torn between having some fun now in providing a proper opposition to the government and not wantng to completely destroy any chance of winning in 2025 or 2030.

I would be tempted to just let the left have a real go for a few years and get it out of their system.

Peter

That labour will be massacred in 2020 and makes 2025 virtually unwinnable as well. None of the others can match that. They can promise to lose one election but none can guarantee losing the one after that.

Let us be clear here...if corbyn wins labour are f**ked for at least a decade.

Still.....at least politics will get interesting again. :-)

Peter
08-17-2015, 05:50 PM
You cant?

The sad fact is that while party activists may 'believe' in policies or approaches they represent roughly 0.5% of the people who decide who wins and of those other 99.5% hardly any of them even know what those policies are let alone understand them.

The art of campaigning is to provide short, simple catchphrases that simple, uninterested people can understand and selling them a vision of the britain they profess to want to live in whilst devising ways of showing your opponent to be something unappealing- preferably racist, sexist, homophobic or something in that ballpark but more commonly stupid, out of touch or a liar. Or a socialist hell bent on stealing your money, giving it to immigrants and then f**king your children.

When that is the business you are in does fairh in policies or people really matter? As you know, almost all government policy is wrong anyway

:-)
