Is the suggestion that Mourinho substituted Terry for a mysterious reason? He wasn't injured and he wasn't playing badly?

a scapegoat ......but rectified that in his post match interview...anyway, Sir C, tis not really important....AW won his first game of the season....much more important...

I thought we played rather well against a pretty impressive team.

I think we'll be OK.

At 10 pm, after drinking for 9 hours, I decided to walk back to my hotel. En route I encountered a chap down a dark alley who invited me to share his spliff and his bottle of Veuve Cliquot. We spent a most pleasant 20 minutes puffing and swigging. Most companionable. However, after walking for 2 hours I realised that I still had 3 miles to go, and managed to find a cab. Upon entering the hotel my attention was drawn to the bar where, despite the lateness of the hour, quite a crowd was gathered - it looked so inviting tht I entered, whereupon I fell into bad company and eventually reached my bed at around 4 am. (I believe).

The only person I unwittingly insulted, I think, was a French chap in our box. This morning I have established that he is a main board director at Fiat :-(

I had a heavy Friday and followed it with cricket on Saturday followed by getting on it all over again. Yesterday, I slept in until 10, woke, had breakfast, dozed in the garden, went back to bed, emerged at about 3.30 and lay on the sofa watching films. I was useless.

alley?

Yesterday I was mainly cold, clammy and shivering. Delirium Tremens :-(

Too old. Too old and tired.

Though clearly at the time it was the correct thing to do.

of alcohol and narcotics to my already rich intake mix.

I forgot. I got pissed on Friday, as well, went to the chinee take away and got spare ribs, sweet and sour pork balls and prawn chow mein and scoffed the bloody lot :-(

centre half. And he brought on Cuadrado to similarly point out the paucity of his options. I am not sure if the writer wasn't quite as mad as Jose, himself.

How did you find the game on Saturday - any view on the performances of the centres, Slade and Burgess? What about the back row options - that's it for Clark now surely

What was he going to do, mug me?

He should be playing football for 100k a week rather than poncing around with rugby.

I think he played for England. They were in white, right?

Mug you.
Kill you.
Drug you and bugger you for a few hours.
Mug you, drug you, bugger you for a few hours and then kill you.
Offer you white wine.
Drug you, steal you and sell you off for sex to wealthy foreign people, like an older and perhaps less lucrative version of that poor little girl in Portugal a few years ago, though myself I have never really ruled out involvement from the parents as it is all a bit not right for me.
Further combinations of the above.

That narrative does tend to change if you stop winning though :-)

His comments after the game were unbelievably pathetic, even for him.

Luis Anaconda

and the article I was referring to deemed it an act of petulance more than one of genius. The press love Jose line really doesn't wash here - not read one report that hasn't said his false result claim was ridiculous

Peter

But the criticism comes with poor results.

I must admit i go out of my way to avoid stuff about him. Needless to say, i still hear a lot of it. The bbc build up to our game yesterday was ALL about him.

I did see one article whichcsuggested that the result yesterday was perfect for him as it got attention back to on field matters. Almost suggesting it could have been deliberate....

Well, not quite but you could read it that way :-)
