The colours are not my choices.

Maybe I'll get 2 cars as the garage will be big enough.

But you are right, I just know it will leave me disappointed.

gearbox is just about the perfect configuration for dying in the snow. In fact, I'd be rather cautious in the rain.

You want a Grand Cherokee, that's what you want. Overland spec.

They're slow, ugly, heavy and don't go around corners.

And their cars are similar.

And build quality is good too.

Just wish I had the funds to import one over.

With the GBP v USD rate at the moment you'd be getting a whole lot of car for the money...around GBP50k

It's just a city of Mercedes, Audi's and BMW. surrounded by Toyota prius minicabs.

What ever happened to Lexus I don't see them much these days.

and include Audis in that . . .

I'm going to confess that I'm sceptical. I'm happy to be proven wrong, but I find it hugely unlikely.

And, of course, if you import one, you end up driving around London looking like the c**t who's imported something as flash as a rat with a gold tooth, because it was cheap.

This is NOT a good look.

Who is Elon Musk? Does everybody have to have these weird names.
Elon Musk. L.Ron Hubbard.

And who would want to drive it in London?

You want to be out on the open road in this car...

And we are talking about Pat's topic of favourite US car - so the LHD isn't the issue...

The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray starts with a low Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) tag of about USD55,000. Convertible models start at USD60,000, and the Z51 package adds about USD5,000 to either model. The super high-performance Corvette Z06 starts at about USD80,000 for coupes and USD85,000 for the convertible, and the must-have Z07 performance package adds about USD8,000 to the price of a Corvette Z06. There's not a bad car in the lineup, but whatever Stingray you select, be sure to get the Z51 package and Magnetic Ride Control. Regardless, the Corvette's price seriously undercuts competitors like the Porsche 911, Nissan GT-R, Audi R8 and Dodge Viper. Still, you probably want to save a buck or two, so check out the KBB.com Fair Purchase Price to see what others are paying in your area. Luckily, the 2015 Corvette should have one of the strongest resale values of any sports car.
