These are mostly non EU people and it's not as if the benefits system has sprung up overnight.

The countries asylum seekers mostly come from are places like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Nigeria, etc, etc. In other words, warzones.

There's always been problems on that scale. I don't recall tent loads of Biafrans at the ports back in the 70's.
They seem to be hell bent on coming here as opposed to blending in in France..

Even 10 years ago, most potential African immigrants were struggling to earn enough money to find 1,500 calories a day; now many can afford to pay hundreds of dollars to make their way across Europe.

God bless capitalism, I suppose.

improve your life. If you're a poncing ****er or a criminal you can come here to improve your life due to the NHS, gutless policing, pathetic courts, full prisons etc.

England is the best country in the world. Unless you're English :-(

I was up for it at first, but then it dawned on me that I'd be dead and therefore not be able to taste the results and started to get cold feet. That didn't stop you, though. You carried on regardless. :-(

Not suggesting the rest of western europe isn't on the radar but the fact we're an island makes border issues far more visible.
Maybe there is no obvious solution, we can't keep flying them back as seems to be suggested. I suspect this will get far worse and go on for years.

I'm dubious, bb. Everyone comes from somewhere else if you go back far enough.

More than 48 hours there will drive you insane.

It was more the marinading and seasoning I found disturbing.

You're a very sick man, I'm afraid.

10-15 years tho... :cloud9:

It's definitely a retirement/given up on life place tbh.
