A limousine that was taking a group of teenagers celebrating a birthday was hit side-on by a 10,000 tonne freight train at high speed after it became stuck on a level crossing in Indiana, USA.
The teenagers were able to get out of the limo while bystanders attempted to alert the oncoming train.
A local photographer, Norman Noe, who is thought to have been travelling with the party, filmed the moment the train ploughed straight into the limo.
As the train rounds the corner a man can be seen waving his arms to alert the driver, while another closer to the limo waves a red handkerchief.
"It's not going to stop! It's not gonna stop!" someone shouts as the train whistle blows.
Seconds later there is an almighty crash as the train slams into the limousine, which also takes out the crossing signal - breaking it in two like a toothpick.
Squealing brakes ring out for almost a minute before the train comes to a complete stop about half a mile down the track.
The photographer continues filming as he runs to the front of the train to see the damage, as a bystander who alerted the driver says: "Did you see me?"
"I sure did," the driver replies. "I've got 10,000 tonnes behind me, though."
